Hello, Geocachers!
When Geocaching there are three golden rules to follow. It's nothing too complicated but it is what makes the game fun and keeps it amusing for every other cacher and hidden out there. In this blog post, we will go over the three golden rules that I find very important to the game.
1. Take something
2. Leave something
3. Sign the logbook
As you can see they are very simple guidelines to follow, I'll break them down and explain them all to our fellow Geocachers to help understand the outline of the game. I hope for the new Geocachers to my blog you have gotten the chance to head out on your first adventure in finding your first Geocache. If you have please share in the comments some of your Geocaching stories, we'd love being able to read them 😊

Sign the logbook: The Geocache's logbook is the physical record of your visit. Record the date of your visit, with your name and list the item to trade with if you do happen to make a trade with another item you find in the Geocache. The logbook is not only there to record your visit, but for you to share your experience as well. The cache owner of the geocache will eventually come to change the logbook once it's in full, they enjoy reading those stories also. I know I do. When I sign the logbook I like including details about our adventure, the weather and anything else I saw on the way to the cache. Keep in mind not all logbooks are large enough to hold all the fun details. Some geocaches are so small only your name and date will fit on the paper. It's nice for the Geocacher who hid the Geocache to have the logbook once it's full of nice stories as a souvenir of his or her effort in hiding the Geocache. It makes great memories of the game. If you're lucky the geocacher will leave a disposable camera in the Geocache for you to take a picture of you and your group as a souvenir of the experience you had locating the geocache. You can always take your own pictures to upload to social media to share with all other Geocachers. Who know's your picture may even go viral and shared around the world for millions to see your experience.
